I'm going to harp on this till the day I die, I guess.
Unless you paid a lot of money, starting at least around $5,000, for your colt, it's a good bet he's not good enough to stay a stud and reproduce.
If he's not papered with a RECOGNIZED and respected registry, he shouldn't be a stud and allowed to dally with the fairer sex either.
If he has some sort of genetic problem, say HERDA or HYPP or that moon-blindness thing (I can't spell it but a lot of Appy's have it) he shouldn't be bred either.
If he's sired by Night and dam-ed by everybody, he shouldn't have his hoo-hoos either.
I don't know how to make it any clearer.
